About us
Apple Gears has supplied high‑quality custom gears and precision‑engineered components for over 40 years, supporting industry, specialist engineers and classic/vintage vehicle restorers across the UK. We manufacture spur, helical, bevel and worm gears, splined shafts, racks and pinions — produced to drawings or reverse‑engineered from worn samples.
Our in‑house gear cutting and machining capabilities includeturning, milling, grinding, wire erosion and keyway cutting, ensuring fast turnaround, consistent accuracy and dependable results. Based in Wellingborough, we combine traditional engineering values with modern CNC manufacturing to deliver reliable, high‑tolerance components for every application.

Apple Gears can supply and offer a fast and efficient service, on any engineering issue, working in close partnership with other companies we are able to offer an extended range of products and services, plus working in partnership with our parent company Transpower Drives we are also able to offer advice on a wide range of ancillary power transmission products such as Bearings, Timing Pulleys and Belts, Roller Chain and Sprockets.
Products
Apple Gears manufacture custom gears on a supply complete or gear cut only basis to customer's drawings or sample specifications, from one offs to batch production.
This includes manufacture of the following types: - Spur and Helical gears, Splined Shafts, Gear Racks and Pinions, Worms and Wheels, Straight Bevel gears, gear box & gearbox assemblies, miniature & small gears and bespoke gears to specification.
In addition we offer a full machine shop facility to include: - Turning, Milling, Wire and Spark Eroding, Grinding and Keying.
